These terms cover your use of the Teala app and teala.app. By downloading the app or using this site, you agree to them.

Not medical advice

Teala is a tracking and information tool. It does not diagnose any condition, and nothing in the app or on this site replaces a conversation with a licensed clinician. Patterns Teala surfaces, including anything labeled a correlation or a score, are estimates based on the data you've logged, not a medical assessment. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use Teala.

Your account and your data

Teala doesn't use accounts. You're responsible for your device and for any encrypted backup file you export, since we have no way to recover it if it's lost.

Subscriptions

Paid tiers are billed through Apple's App Store using auto-renewing subscriptions. Pricing, free trial terms, and cancellation are managed through your Apple ID account settings, not through us directly. Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard policies.

Acceptable use

Don't reverse-engineer, resell, or use the app in a way that could harm other users or Teala's systems. We can suspend access for accounts, in features that use one, that violate these terms.

Limitation of liability

Teala is provided as-is. To the extent permitted by law, we're not liable for decisions made based on information in the app, or for data loss from a device failure, a deleted app, or a lost backup file.

We'll update this page if these terms change, and update the "last updated" date above when we do.
